“I’ve been helping writers bring their stories to life for over 12 years—through coaching, editing, and deep creative work.” – Peter Nathaniel Lee

Testimonials

“Most writers don’t get stuck because they lack talent— they get stuck because they don’t have the right support.”

Bring Your Story to Life

Writing a book is one of the most meaningful journeys a person can take. It asks us to explore our ideas, our memories, our imagination, and sometimes even the deepest parts of ourselves.

But writing can also be challenging.

Many writers reach a point where they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. Others finish a manuscript but feel something still isn’t quite working — the structure, the pacing, the clarity of the message.

This is where developmental editing and writing coaching can make all the difference.

For over 12 years, I have worked with writers to help them shape their ideas into powerful, meaningful books. Whether you are just beginning, halfway through a manuscript, or preparing a completed draft for publication, I help you refine your work while staying true to your voice and vision.

This is for you if:

  • You’ve started a book but can’t seem to finish it

  • You have an idea but don’t know how to structure it

  • You feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure if it’s good enough

  • You want support that goes deeper than surface-level editing

About Me

My name is Peter Nathaniel Lee, and I’m a published author, developmental editor, and writing coach.

I am the author of the book Walk with Me, When Grief Passes Love Remains, a deeply personal work exploring healing, loss, and spiritual awakening.

Alongside my writing work, I am also a somatic breath meditation therapist. Over the years I’ve found that many writing blocks are not simply technical — they are emotional, psychological, or creative blocks.

Through a combination of editorial guidance, coaching, and breathwork-based practices, I help writers reconnect with their creative voice and move forward with clarity and confidence.

For more than a decade I’ve supported writers in developing:

    • memoirs

    • personal stories

    • spiritual and self-development books

    • historical fiction

    • epic fantasy and genre fiction

    • essays and blogs

My Approach

I believe that writing is both a craft and a personal journey.

Developmental editing is not simply correcting sentences or grammar. It is about understanding:

    • the deeper intention behind your work

    • the emotional core of your story

    • the structure that allows your message to fully land with readers

When we work together, we look at the big picture of your writing:

    • narrative structure

    • character development

    • pacing and flow

    • clarity of ideas

    • emotional impact

    • thematic coherence

If you’re experiencing writer’s block or creative resistance, we may also explore simple breathwork and grounding practices to help you reconnect with your creative state.

Writing flows best when the mind and body are aligned, and these practices can be surprisingly powerful.

Developmental Editing

Ideal for writers who have completed a manuscript or partial draft and want deep structural feedback.

This includes:

• Detailed manuscript review
• Structural feedback on story or argument
• Guidance on pacing, tone, and narrative clarity
• Character development and story arcs (for fiction)
• Theme, message, and reader impact
• A written editorial report with clear suggestions for revision

Writing Coaching

Perfect if you are currently writing a book or planning one.

Coaching sessions can help you:

• Clarify your book idea and structure
• Create a writing plan and accountability
• Work through writer’s block or overwhelm
• Develop characters, scenes, or narrative direction
• Strengthen your writing voice
• Stay motivated and consistent with your project

Sessions are typically conducted via Zoom or phone.

Creative Writing Tutoring (Students)

I also provide creative writing tutoring for students who want to improve their storytelling skills or develop confidence in writing.

Breathwork for Creative Flow (Optional)

For writers experiencing creative blocks, I offer short guided breathwork practices designed to help calm the mind and reconnect with creative inspiration.

These sessions can help with:

• creative overwhelm
• reconnecting with your creative intuition

Who I Work With

I regularly support writers who are:

• thinking about writing their first book
• working on a memoir or personal story
• halfway through a manuscript and feeling stuck
• writing epic fantasy or historical fiction
• exploring spiritual or philosophical themes
• preparing their manuscript for publication

Publishing Guidance

As well as supporting the writing process itself, I can also offer guidance on what comes after the manuscript is finished, including:

• self-publishing pathways
• preparing your manuscript for publication
• understanding publishing options
• building an audience for your work

Every meaningful book begins with a single honest page. Sometimes all a writer needs is the right support to keep turning them.

Working Together

Every writer comes to this work at a different stage.

You might have a finished manuscript that needs shaping.
You might be halfway through and feeling stuck.
Or you might just have an idea that won’t leave you alone—but no clear way to bring it into form.

Wherever you are, my role is to meet you there—and help you move forward with clarity, structure, and confidence.

This isn’t just about editing words on a page.
It’s about helping you finish something that matters.

If you’re unsure what kind of support you need, the best place to start is a conversation.
